ByeByeList

ByeByeList is a simple view of a particular web site. The view can be structured and organized according to the user defined settings. The view’s contents can be expanded on the developer’s behalf. Other data can easily be included in the search, the new data would match the same formatting, although if the user desired it could also be removed or re-included. For instance; the same search (including location and other form data) could be ran on a separate online portal or site. The new data would be included with a different border color, but appear organized according to date. The scope of this information is clearly up to the developer but could be tailored by the user if desired.

The overall goal is to increase the scope of a search while maintaining a relatively simple interface. While there should be options these options should not be mandatory for a complete search.

Part of maintaining simplicity and brevity in search configuration is the complete absence of any kind of logging in or required session tracking. Some features such as favorite listing might not be usable but there should not be a lack of usability.

This is clearly not a final version. But we feel it is a usable example of the capabilities of such a system.

And really, it is supposed to be useful and was made to serve a purpose. So please, USE IT!

How to use ByeByeList

To view classified ads in a particular city, choose the city from the drop down list and click search. You can also search for a particular item. If you would like to search the appartment listings change the catagory drop down list and click search. One of the goals was to display the ads that had pictures, if you still want to include ads that do not have pictures use the view drop down list.
